Autism Program Instructor
Bowling Green, OH
Wood County Hospital is currently accepting applications for an Autism Program Instructor. This is a 32 hours per week position working 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday. The Autism Program Instructor provides personal care and professional excellence by evaluating and when indicated, providing the appropriate treatment for children with autism to facilitate remediation of physical, cognitive, language, and behavioral deficits. The Autism Program Instructor will also ensure that service is delivered in accordance with Ohio Department of Education (ODE) rules and standards.
The Autism Program Instructor is responsible for:
Works with Autism Aids, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other healthcare workers in other departments, students, volunteers and students of various ages.
Develops home programs to meet the individual needs of the student.
Determines need for and is available upon request to provide training to families of students under care.
Evaluates progress, adjusts treatment approach as necessary and terminates treatment when indicated.
Must have Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis and board certified (BCBA)
Bachelor’s Degree and licensed Intervention Specialist in State of Ohio
Must have licensure through ODE or be eligible for licensure.
