Call Center Representative

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Call Center Representative in our Call Center. This is a Per Diem position working variable shifts that include weekend and holiday rotation. Must be able to work off shifts as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Operate the switchboard with courtesy and professionalism.Answer and direct telephone calls in a polite and informative manner.
  • Take and relays messages.
  • Page individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using paging and interoffice communication equipment.
  • Assists with the Physician Referral line.
  • Monitor equipment alarms and complete checklist per shift.
  • Collect physician on-call schedules and manage the white board per shift.
  • Activating Life Flight beacon when notified of pending arrival.
  • Search for patient records within the EHR to answer questions and connect callers to the appropriate destination.

Preferred Experience:

  • One year experience operating a multi-line phone/switchboard system preferred
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred
