Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Sterile Processing Technician who will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Sterile Processing Department. This individual must be dependable, flexible, highly motivated, able to multitask and be a team player.
Job Duties:
Cleans, disinfects and processes instrumentation and equipment, both sterile and unsterile according to established policies and procedures.
Assembles and wraps instrument trays.
Sterilizes instruments and equipment.
Performs, interprets and records the daily testing of equipment.
Performs biological and chemical monitoring in accordance with quality Assurance standards and recommendations.
Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift Details:
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Minimal on call rotation after hours, weekends and holidays required.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Certification:
Sterile Processing Certification required or obtained within 18 months of hire.
Endoscopy Reprocessing Certification required or obtained within 18 months of hire.
