Sleep Technologist Aide

Wood County Hospital is looking for individuals who are looking to a be a part of a dynamic healthcare team of caring individuals who provide services to patients with sleep disorders.  The Sleep Tech Aide will receive on the job training and formal education to start a career as a Polysomnographic Technologist.  

$10,000 Bonus eligible upon successful completion of program and transition to Polysomnographic Technologist Role

Duties Include:

• Assist with/perform routine, non-routine and complex recordings such as CPAP, Bi-level, split night studies, seizure studies, REM behavior studies, MSLT testing, routine PSG recordings & Oxygen Titration
• Provide age-appropriate care to all children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients/clients/families served.
• Accurate and timely documentation of patient care and sleep testing activities
• Performs all interventions/procedures in accordance with standards of care, policies & procedures, regulatory guidelines, and role specific competencies
• Collaborates with all members of the health care team to promote a seamless patient care continuum,

Hours:

• Nights
• 12-hour shift 

Requirements:

• ​​​​High Scholl Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate degree or bachelor's Degree preferred
• Complete ASTEP education and training within 6 months
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within one year of hire
• BLS through the American Heart Association (or obtained within30 days of hire)
