Occupational Therapist - Certified Hand Therapist

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist - Certified Hand Therapist in our Rehabilitation Services department. The Occupational Therapist provides the appropriate treatment for patients to facilitate remediation of or compensation for physical, cognitive or perceptual deficits, in order to promote the greatest amount of independence possible.

Job Duties:

  • Writes initial evaluations, progress notes, re-evaluation reports and discharge summaries.
  • Evaluates need for adaptive devices for patients; orders and/or fabricates necessary adaptive devices.
  • Collaborates frequently with physicians, nurses and other disciplines regarding patient care and discharge planning.
  • Demonstrates appropriate written, oral and nonverbal communication with patients, families, other members of the health care team and the public.

Shift Details:

Hours: Per Diem, as needed basis

Shift: Day Shift working 8:00am to 6:30pm


Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of a Bachelor of Science program in Occupational Therapy with accompanying certificate or graduate of a Master's Degree program in Occupational Therapy

Minimum Certification/Licensure:

  • Licensed in the state of Ohio as a OTR
  • Certified as a Hand Therapist
