Wood County Hospital is now hiring an Outpatient dietitian. The Outpatient Dietitian provides personal care and professional excellence by coordinating, planning and providing Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management Training for patients. Dietitian will work with community, physicians and staff on nutritional and diabetes education programs.
Assess and provide Medical Nutrition therapy for outpatient clients
Assess Diabetes Education clients with Pre-Diabetes, Type 1, Type 2 and/or gestational diabetes.
Develop plan of care for Diabetes Education clients, collaborating with other members of the Diabetes Education team.
Instruct diabetes education clients through classes and/or individual sessions.
Monitor Gestational Diabetes clients along with physicians, weekly assessment of diet and blood sugars
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Day Shift
Weekend and on-call rotation required.
Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in foods and nutrition or related area
Registered/Licensed Dietitian required
Certified Diabetes Educator (RD,CDE) required
