Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Pharmacy Technician provides personal care and professional excellence by assisting the pharmacist in special duties within the pharmacy.
Job Duties:
The Pharmacy Technician job responsibilities include:
Demonstrates accurate knowledge of the Pharmacy laws, rules and regulations commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
Is proficient on pharmaceutical terms, mathematics, weights, measures, symbols and use of equipment commensurate with duties.
Receives, checks and accurately stores all incoming drugs and other supplies as directed by the pharmacists.
Accurately assists the pharmacist in maintaining all necessary records in the receipt of and in the distribution of all dangerous drugs.
Performs proper technical pharmaceutical procedures such as packaging, pre-packing, labeling and storing of drugs with the proper facilities and under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Shift Details:
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Hours includes varying shifts between 0800 and 2000
Night and weekend rotation required
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Certification:
Registered Pharmacy Technician with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy required or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with Ohio Licensure within ten (10) weeks of hire date.
CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
Preferred Experience:
Two years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
