Pharmacy Tech FT - Bowling Green, OH - Full Time

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Pharmacy Technician provides personal care and professional excellence by assisting the pharmacist in special duties within the pharmacy.
 

Job Duties:

The Pharmacy Technician job responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates accurate knowledge of the Pharmacy laws, rules and regulations commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
  • Is proficient on pharmaceutical terms, mathematics, weights, measures, symbols and use of equipment commensurate with duties.
  • Receives, checks and accurately stores all incoming drugs and other supplies as directed by the pharmacists.
  • Accurately assists the pharmacist in maintaining all necessary records in the receipt of and in the distribution of all dangerous drugs.
  • Performs proper technical pharmaceutical procedures such as packaging, pre-packing, labeling and storing of drugs with the proper facilities and under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
     

Shift Details:

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Hours includes varying shifts between 0800 and 2000

  • Night and weekend rotation required
 

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Certification:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy required or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with Ohio Licensure within ten (10) weeks of hire date.

  • CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Two years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
